At the ISEFAC campus in Lille, being an ambassador means more than just promoting the visibility of the courses, it also means helping with orientation. To this end, 15 students from different fields of study in the 2nd and 3rd years are available to meet with high school students.

The role of the ambassadors
Supporting the promotion and development officers at the various events and also at the interventions in the institutions are the main actions carried out. The advantage of speaking with students is that the discourse is not institutional, so it is easier to talk to them. The advantage of talking to students is that it is not institutional, so it is easier to talk to them. Creating a close link with them allows them to share their doubts and questions about orientation, school and student life.
Missions
At the beginning of the year, a contract is signed between the school and the students, which defines the missions to be carried out throughout the year.
This involves various actions:
Phoning, making contacts
Participating in interventions in secondary schools
Being present at forums and fairs
Accompanying high school students during immersion days and open days
Contribute to the dissemination of the school's training offers
Share your experience and your career in higher education
To help students better understand post-baccalaureate education
Through the student ambassador, the principle is to approach the courses from another angle, to know the different choices available to them at the school. Outside the school, talking about student life and what is related to it, put in pictures, reassures both parents and students. The exchange fixes anxieties and uncertainties through the knowledge of how higher education works, "We explain better with our words". During these interventions, it is a real complementarity that is put forward between members of the pedagogy, speakers and students.
The benefits
Being an ambassador requires a significant investment, but it also allows you to acquire and develop technical and relational skills. It allows you to see your training from another angle, which makes you aware of what you have learned and what you are learning. Sharing this as a team makes you progress enormously both personally and professionally.
Rémi, a second-year student, "I am in direct action, with an oral speech that I have to give and know how to give in front of high school students or those looking for guidance. [...] This new role also gives me more self-confidence, both in my abilities and in my public speaking. Not to mention the good times that are always present when we work.
Participating in trade fairs and forums gives you the opportunity to develop your network and exchange with other exhibitors and professionals. It's having the latest goodies from the school, and above all being dressed by the school.
